Neil leads the innovation scouting activities at RBS’s Silicon Valley Hub, establishing relationships across the VC community to identify opportunities for partnership, open collaboration, investment and executive education. He joined the Bank in 2008 as part of the ABN AMRO integration. Neil has held roles in Outsourcing and Business Alignment including commercial lead in the divestment of Worldpay, as well as in Supply Chain Strategy where he developed transformational sourcing proposals including mortgage servicing and contact centre outsourcing. Prior to joining the Bank, Neil was Procurement Category Manager for Technology Outsourcing within ABN AMRO, working on diverse projects such as IT infrastructure outsourcing to IBM and EDS, as well as the supply chain integration during the acquisition of Italian Bank, Antonveneta. He also held the role of Global Technology Category Manager, responsible for all technology procurement activity. He has over 20 years of commercial experience having also worked at Deutsche Bank and Fujitsu in a number of supply chain and procurement roles. Prior to his commercial career, Neil obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree as well as an MBA in Strategy and Procurement from the University of Birmingham Business School.
